You said you have updated to the latest, will you mind telling which one? We are not supporting the latest University patch yet, until the pack comes out. I will post a link for you, please read this page thoroughly, as it will help you identify where you might have gone wrong, there are also 2 video tutorials there.
https://www.games4theworld.club/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly-latest-version-1-56-52-1020#
If all the above fails I would recommend running the Sims Architect Validator, which will let you know if your installation is corrupted or missing files. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

What about your mods and custom content?
In the strictest sense of how you worded your comment, your issues seem to have surfaced "since you got the new update". Maybe you forgot to check your mods in that instance? That would be my first guess.

OK, try using the "validator" here:
- Code:
https://ts4installer.tumblr.com/validator
And copy-paste the results in a reply here, but note that I am not good with analyses of the validator (the person who originally did them left the Forum).
But we can try, so good luck for now!

So what about the results of the validator that I linked to? For the moment please use the one that I linked to, because it was originally created by anadius (not Sim Architect).
Also, maybe you didn't think about it in the heat of this troubleshooting discussion. But we can't really help you if you post vague comments like "I took out unknown/missing stuff". We'll need you to copy-paste the results of the validator report, in a reply here.
How else do you think anybody can help you?

Re: Endless loading screen.
Could you please, let us know to which version of the game you updated to? The game number? For example 1.56.52,1020? Also, remember that some updates need to be incremental, if you are missing a patch, it will not work. Please, let us know, with as much detail as posible what you did when you updated...@Iceyprincess wrote:I just went there and took out in the missing files and took out the unknown but now I’m getting an unable to start error but the sims architect says everything is good
